How to get Married in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
For the most accurate and up-to-date information please visit the official web site maintained by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. You can go there by clicking on the following link... http://www.state.ma.us/sec/cis/cismrg/mrgidx.htm

(note - this link changes often so you may need to search for the phrase

"How to Obtain a Marriage License" when you reach the Massachusetts web site.)

Here is the annotated version for those in a hurry...

Go together to any town clerk in Massachusetts and file a license application.

Wait three days, then get your marriage license.
(The license is good for 60 days.)

Give the license to your officiant on your wedding day.
The officiant will complete the form and return it to the issuing town clerk.
